Compatibility With Os X 10.10 (yosemite)

At the moment Cyber Security is not fully compatible with the recently released OS X Yosemite. ESET provides a KB article with some troubleshooting steps: With the major changes (eg.

New UI) and it being quite a significant release, I'm not surprised that ECSP is having issues without an updated version. If you continue to have problems after following the troubleshooting steps, the KB article recommends contacting. Personally, I would Cyber Security Pro until ESET releases an update that is fully compatible with Yosemite. Every major 3rd party app I own has already upgraded to accommodate Yosemite. So, yet again, I find myself waiting on ESET to release a compatible version before I can install an OS that, in this case, has been in Beta since July of this year.

I really like ESET and find their products to be the best on the market. I just wish they'd be a bit more responsive to their customers needs. I have a feeling that given the number of issues users are experiencing with Cyber Security (and Pro) at the moment, they are trying to resolve those particular issues until they release another major version - so that the next update addresses both the previous issues and compatibility with Yosemite, and there isn't the necessity to upgrade twice so close together.

I could be completely wrong however, it's only a guess. I don't think ESET would delay a compatible release on purpose. Particularly, If you receive the message 'Identity of the installer cannot be confirmed' you may need to configure Apple gatekeeper options to allow applications to run regardless of their source.

Visit the on this topic. The window that Marcelo is showing is when an application crashes on OS X (like in Windows when it shows that window to report the problem to Microsoft after an application stops responding and crashes). Basically he's able to bypass Gatekeeper, but the ESET Uninstaller itself crashes at some point. Here's his screenshot below. Update: I just downloaded the latest DMG file from the ESET website and ran that uninstaller on Yosemite - the uninstaller worked fine, so I suggest that Mercelo tries the uninstaller from the DMG file instead of the one provided within the application.

(CB530 just linked a KB article on a manual uninstall, which would better suit). I can't view the images hosted on tinypic.
